Not telling

Ive been having heart palpitations for about a year now. Its not something scary most of the time because they dont last but for a few minutes and thats it. I have high blood pressure and its good most of the rime. My anxiety has been bad lately. The strange rituals that i do are back. My question was should i worry that ive been having these throughout the whole day? I dont want to go to the doc cause if you have GAD they think your being overdramatic🙄anyways does anyone else have this?

Don't leave heart palpitations. One's body is designed to warn you if something is not right. I get them frequently but I have angina on top of the other lovely things. I also suffer from anxiety n it's worse then. Rather be safe than sorry. Your doctor is an idiot if he doesn't take notice. When you get them, try be conscious of exactly how they feel and what makes them subside or get worse. Keep a diary n track when n why (sometimes u can tell). Take care n God bless

This rings true with myself too. I have similar instances. Every time I have an ecg it’s normal within the test. Trouble is an ecg only monitors there and then. So it’s hard to tell. If your in early days of GAD or similar I’d say I’ve been dealing with this for 2 years now. At one point you’ll get fed up of worrying, relax a little better and just live as best you can with it.

i have them too, especially if i get so lost into thoughts, and i forget to breathe. they are part of anxiety, so if you ask your dr he would probably focus on your anxiety rather than your heart palpitations. i asked them before, but more concern about monitoring my anxiety and anti depressants. good luck with your findings.

Hi Kaye, I have heart palpitations too and when I'm really anxious I can get OCD tendencies that will flare up. If you think that your doc will think you're over dramatic then it might be time to get a new doctor. You're not being over dramatic, your having anxiety problems.

i would think the heart palpitations should be adrressed. the anxiety , is probably not going away but can be reduced/ controlled.
