I often play sleep-oriented meditations or music oriented for sleep. You can set YouTube to play just one video or a queue of videos. Sometimes I just leave the TV on but I usually wake up during the night to turn it off. The other thing is tapping. I recommend it to anyone who wants to gently change negative self-talk and "program" a positive outlook. It is easy and you can tell a difference right away. YouTube has tapping videos where you can follow along. Just pick an issue like shame or anger and add "tapping ". Best wishes!

I make sure I have no electronic devices on. No streaming and no music. The lack of input helps me go to sleep. Sleep is SO important to quality mental health.

Wine, to, computer games, reading, chocolate or sleep so I don't have to think.

I use CBD oil, magnesium and melatonin but it doesn't always work. Try some yoga if possible. It is difficult as me and my significant other have his "adult" alcoholic (recovering?) pain riddled (she can do things but she has major mental blow ups over the dumbest things) narscissistic daughter, son-in-law and their 11 yr old kid living in this smallish trailer. They are argue, yell, take money from my elderly significant other, and do drugs ( marijuana) and it is getting to the point where I'm at the point of leaving. I just need a good place to stay is all that doesn't cost all of my life savings.
