I've been on Lexapro for almost a year and its made me gain a lot of weight. Has anyone gone off it and lost weight quite quickly?

Hi New Member .. Those of us that have been years on this journey of living with a mental health issue .. can tell you it is not about your weight .. It is about getting your mental health issues ( chemical imbalances ) in a better place. Keep a digest of what time of day you take your medications .. how much sleep you are getting each night. The kinds of food you are craving ( I craved Coca Cola .. put on weight very quickly ). With a little searching of your habits you can reduce that weight. Hugs, Sandra [ Adding some walking will help also )

That is so strange that you said Coke is your craving. I live off it most days and have for years now. I can't explain it because I don't like sweets but I have to have Coke all day and night. The caffeine and sugar do not keep me awake or hyped up. It actually calms me down. ??

I stopped drinking cokes for about 5 years but since I’ve been on Lexapro, I’ve been wanting a coke too. I haven’t given in yet. I didn’t think much about this craving but now I find it interesting. I wonder what’s the deal with that.
