I dont understand why I cant just talk to a damn therapist anymore. Im fine where I am but sometimes when my depression is up like now I just need to talk! Why do I have to focus on other shit that I dont care about? Isnt it supposed to be about me and dealing with shit instead of how to breath? Thats great if the breathing stuff helps any of you that read this but it doesnt help me. I cut beceause I cant handle this shit and Im tired of being depended on and not having anyone to help me… read more

I've got a shrink.... Purely for medication. And a semi retired psychologist. Talk therapy only. Took 7 years to find the right psychologist.( none of those CBT and DBT and mindfulness nonsense) Keep on trying..... You will find one eventually.

My therapist will talk with me. The only problem is she stays booked. I call and it maybe 3 to 4 weeks before she can see me. By then I need to talk. I have no one to talk too. No one wants to hear it. My answer to those who say "How are you" is I'm fine.

Maybe try seeing a licensed clinical social worker. From my experience they listen to me more and provide better feedback than any psychiatrist or psychologist I have seen in the past. If you don't have insurance, try looking into NAMI they alot of times will provide support groups that may also be helpful.
