I had swallowing in my jaw so I was uesing ice pouch on my jaw and I started uesing it by chance on the back of my neck and on the top of my head it really calmed my anxiety did any one heard about that.

Yes, it’s actually a tip they use in DBT. Can put yours hands or face in ice water & it does help for some ppl. Glad it helped you.

Yes it's true my therapist used to work where if a patient was suicidal or very low they'd put erm in freezing cold shower as it triggers ur mind back to the present and u then become to concentrate on cold wet need to get clothes off etc it brings your mind back into the present n not depressive

A long while ago, it was common practice to submerge a distressed patient in an ice bath. Though I think this is a cruel way to quiet the agitated because of the possibility of hypothermia. Ice pouches or ice packs I can see helping a great deal and bring about the same results without risk to the person.

A long time ago, they used to use ice baths to calm a patient down in the hospitals. The only problem was it drastically reduced their body temp also.
Using the ice pack as you are using it Alex sounds like a much better solution. Go for it!
