Have You Ever Left A Job Because Your Anxiety/depression Got Too Much To Handle?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I left my previous job because I was having a hard time communicating and being assertive with colleagues, so I ended up getting walked over and not doing my job properly. My current job I feel extreme social anxiety and isolation and I've come so close to leaving. I'm only leaving now because I'm moving overseas, but if it wasn't for that I would have left. Having lots of jobs for short periods of time looks bad to employers, how can I turn that into a positive?

Iam not sure why our working environments has become toxic , not like couple decades ago when our boss and supervisor come in to work , at least they would have a smile and have some decency to say good morning to everyone , but nowadays it seems no one can smile doesn't even have the some home training or business etiquette to be a decent human beings in work place .

Also as for only having jobs for short periods of time you can tell employers that you were having medica issues. They usually understand.

Yes and I want to leave my current job but know I can't because of bills. I dread going to work every day. I'm trying to find a new job. I don't know what to do

Yes, I did, I was being abused by the managers and they didn't want me there because of a couple of reasons, but no one should get treated that way, no matter what, they should speak to you openly, making an appointment with you to discuss things, the company i left did not do that, they used passive aggression on me, knew my triggers to get me the most anxious I have ever been, it is the past, but if i were you I would get in their face first, demand respect and be open and honest with them, if you've got a union, start with them, because the managers could play you and you don't want that!

I think it has to do with the public environment everyone's experiencing, and that is not going to go away, it will only get worse, but you, or anyone else, should not have to bear the brunt of their anxiety.

I wish the best for you!
