I have to testify on Wednesday. I'm freaking out about it. I'm scared because I don't want my words twisted anymore then they have been..how do I handle it? What has helped you in the past when you're really anxious?
There is a great breathing technique to reduce anxiety-- Breathe in through your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of four. Then exhale, slowly through your mouth for a count of 6-8. This technique tells your brain and body to calm down. Breathe this way several times until you feel calmer
Write your answer down. Practice with someone. Like take the worst situation and have someone ask you the question pertaining to it. I found it better to not look at the attorney questioning me, look at the positive person in the case. Also have someone there that will give you positive facial expressions to keep you grounded and positive
