Social Anxiety And Going Out.

I wear a black hat, my bag and a flannel to hide and feel comfortable. I also wear rings that I can play with to keep calm. I bought a fidget cube on ebay. What do You do when You are nervous? Have anything You wear or use?

I'm exactly the same I suffer from anxiety and depression and I have also learned to put a mask on and pretend everything thing is alright it's so much easier than trying to explain myself to someone who doesn't understand what your going through or doesn't have any real empathy I can see straight through someone who doesn't really care and is just trying to shut me up or pacify me but when l facilitate my peer support group for together for mental wellbeing I know I'm talking to and helping people with similar problems as mine and I know they are genuine and kind I suggest if there are any peer support groups nearby try them out..take care xx

I have become excellent at projecting confidence when inside I feel scared and want to run away. I believe others are far too busy worrying about their own insecurities and bodily hang ups to worry about me. x🐱

@A MyDepressionTeam Member! I try to look at the bright side and be thankful for what I can do on an anxiety-ridden day.

I confront my fears so that I control them, not them controlling me

Hi @A MyDepressionTeam Member! What does the loud music do for you? Does it help distract you. I like to breathe deeply and let it out. A conductor once taught me to take deep breaths to a count of 10 and 15 and hold it for a count of 10 to 15, then I slowly blow out through my mouth for 10 to 15. It helps me to calm down. In through your nose and out through your mouth.
