The great thing about a therapist is that you can say as much or as little as you wish. I've had more sessions than I can count where I sat in absolute silence, so my therapist gave me notebooks to just write what I was thinking or feeling instead of saying it to another human. It was a simple gesture that made a big difference for me personally.
