I also have Agoraphobia and it's hard to get out on my own but I have found that if I wear my head phones and listen to music, it's easier for me to deal with the noises that cause me anxiety. I don't have a car so I walk most places. So, I am out a lot whether I like it or not. Hugs

Have you been diagnosed with social anxiety? It is so very common and I hope you can believe that no question is stupid. When I was in grammar school I was very shy and bullied. The teacher came to my desk, put 10 pennies on it, and told me to count them in front of the class. I quietly did what I was told and the teacher said, "you did so good you can keep them" in a very condescending way. The entire class laughed. After that day, I believed I was stupid and especially in math. Please don't ever think anything you do or say is stupid! Hugs

You needn't be embarrassed or afraid of posting your problems on this site. Most people with depression have the dual diagnosis of anxiety. Putting yourself out there might lead to information helpful to you from others in the same boat, like me too!

I'm always afraid of sounding dumb, even though I have my degree in computer science. It's not a fun feeling and has impacted my growth in jobs.

I agree with Dee 100%.. Absolutely nothing is stupid. It's all important if it is important to you! Hugs
