I cant deal with one without the other and not sure how.
Depending on the type of eating disorder. If it is Anorexia Nervosa then restoration of weight will make a huge difference to the OCD and the depression. Get specialist treatment for this one. My daughter has successfully beat it.
Atypical is treated the same way as Anorexia now. My daughter had 2 hospitalisations in the last 18 months and there were many "atypicals" in there. It is just as serious. They have changed the diagnostic criteria in the new DSMV and now EDNOS has gone and it might be worth checking it. You will probably have a diagnosis of Anorexia. Best treatment is refeeding because until your weight is closer to what your body wants it to be the other symptoms will remain. When you stop using extreme measures the body will adjust to a healthy place. I have participated in lots of education about it and this is what we learnt. Try to be patient, love yourself totally, say kind things to yourself and redirect your control at your wellness not your illness. OCD is about control (as is and ED). If you can find another way to exert control until you are better you will get there.
The extreme behaviours stuff up your mode and the OCD is a way of managing the anxiety associated with your brain being in starvation mode, even if it is just sometimes. Good luck
thank you for the response it basucally is its EDNOS more so atypical anoriexia
I think you need to treat the depression first and then the eating disorder. An eating disorder is a way of feeling in control. The depression makes you feel out of control probably making the eating disorder worse.
I am thankyou for the response
