Are We As Humans Supose To Blindly Trust? Or Do We Make People Earn It?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Yesterday i was confronted about my lack of trust. I was told that a normal person trusts until they ruin it. For the last 28 years i have trusted without the other earning it and it always backfires on me. So through my experience ive developed into the opposite. My trust needs to be earned reguardless of who you are or your status. Am i wrong on this or am i just being weird and antisocial?

I can very much relate. No, I don't see it not being normal because in our world it is normal to not trust others

I am the same. Once you experience hurt and betrayal it becomes second nature to be distrustful. Trust has to be gained slowly.

My trust has to be earned. I have always been told & I also tell him kids that trust is earned not given
