Has Anyone Tried The Fischer Wallace Device? Is It Similar To TMS?
Yes, I tried it twice as long as it called for and had no results or effect whatsoever. It said to use it twice daily for a month, so I used it for two months or more. You put a moist (water-soaked sponge) pad near each temple, held on by a soft headband and turn on the stimulator. It has four stimulation levels so you can start low and increase to see what amount of stimulation you need. I wound up at level 4 (highest) for over a month with no effect on my depression, anxiety or insomnia whatsoever. You feel a slight tingle as the stimulator works, but it is not at all painful or to be afraid of. You can learn more at https://www.fisherwallace.com. I can answer any other questions you would like to post here. Good luck.
Before buying it, I had an email and long phone call with a psychiatrist at Columbia U. in NYC who uses it on multiple patients, and it sounded worth a trial for me. Unfortunately, I was not helped. However, you should read a good deal about it and see the company's return policy. I think you can return it for a full refund in a month or two if it doesn't work for you. I have no interest or affiliation with this company. I am a physician myself and despite my failure to improve with this device, I only want to find depressed people the help they need to treat this serious disease. Further questions welcome. Dr. J
