How Do You Collect Yourself?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Being a social introvert, where do you go to collect yourself? What do you do?

I find calm when I'm sitting at the beach just breathing in the air and listening to the waves. Also adult colouring books as a shield when I'm with people or as a way not to think when I colour myself. Iv started to write quotes on the pages and laminate them. I choose calming colours and am starting to take pride in what I am creating and for now that's a big step forwards.

Oh that sounds lovely. I tend to sit in the backyard, or front porch with a cup of tea and listen to my iPod or bring my iPad and listen to music on YouTube, like oceans and such. Sometimes songs that I use when in certain moods as well. Especially if I am so overwhelmed I cannot function. If I am out somewhere, I tend to be line it for the car! It's kind of a safe haven where I can hide from the world when I am in a social situation and become overwhelmed and/or panicked!

I go out in the backyard and sit by the koi pond listening to the waterfall. Quite soothing
