Members connected over firsthand experiences with ECT treatments, with one long-term member offering detailed guidance to someone preparing for their very first session. Several members shared that ECT can help with depression and bipolar symptoms, though relief is often temporary, leading many to continue with maintenance treatments on a regular schedule. A recurring theme was the importance of communicating openly with your ECT doctor, asking for pain and anti-nausea medication during the procedure, and leaning on a trusted friend or family member for support after each treatment.

I am so glad to hear! I hope you can rest now. And take a much needed nap. That is what I been doing now!

For your first treatment it is going to be light as far as I know. It will be right sided unilateral.

I am proud of you for trying this

Well on Monday tell them you want a NSAID like Toradol through the IV. NSAID is Ibuprofen. And ask for IV zofran for nausea if you are not getting.

And ask about Tylenol after treatment
