Hey, Katrina,
I'm glad you're here. I don't know the answer to the problem, but I love how supportive you are. I hope you have a wonderful day. Keep smiling π
I was in the same boat Anthony. The docs prescribed their drugs and just watched my weight go up, up, up while their meds were making me fat. At the same time my health was going down, down, down. I am working very hard for a bunch of years now to lose that weight (100) lbs that was put indiscriminately by the docs. Was 310lbs and climbing. Currently at 219-224lbs. Hoping for 210lbs when all the dust settles. Pain medicine and other meds also put weight on. They don't care just keep taking our prescribed meds and keep an eye on your weight. "Its starting to creeping up a little". A LITTLE!! Then at 310lbs, Gary you must do something about this weight :( I had to fight like hell and go through a long withdrawal process. It took me a year till I felt like myself again. Been working with a weight loss doctor for 4 yrs or so. She is awesome. Straightened me out on a lot of stuff. I have been losing slowly but surely. I have a sobriety date of 2/5/89. The road is long and the path is narrow. A day at a time brother. Pray for discernment. He comes to us in the quiet unhurried times. You are strong in the face of ?
Hi Anthony, God bless you, my friend, with all you're going through right now. . My best peace, love, and good vibes to you, dude . . Sam . .
@A MyDepressionTeam Member... Believe it or not urology medicine also causes weight gain. I was being treated for some bladder and ED issues and I found out after a few years that, "oh by the way Gary, these medicines can cause weight gain" . I stopped them immediately. I also stopped the antidepressants the tranquilizers and the ADD medicine. I wish I didn't need the strong pain medications as they also put weight on. I was surprised to find out that even my Stelara and Moujara slow down the insides of the gut action thereby accentuating any weight gain that might be happening already. Some days screaming is a great idea ππ€ͺ
Unfortunately a lot of meds cause weight gain. Have you maybe thought of a glp 1? You can always talk to your doctor and see if there is something like the meds your on but without the weight gain? I'm not trying to sound rude but that's is a lot of weight from the medicine. It's hard to lose weight when you feel drained. See what your doctor says
Good luck
