I have major depressive disorder and it's severe at the moment. I found a really good counselor that I'm seeing every week. However, antidepressants have stopped working all together and there's nothing else available where I live. So my options is to go to Canada to get TMS therapy because I could stay with someone there or just to continue counseling and do nothing.
Therapy does help if you can get it.
I find that therapy works but not on its own, having people around who genuinely care and want to help can make all the difference when therapy isn’t enough
I'm still not sure what TMS is. However, if it was the best option for me than maybe I would try it.
Hi Sandy, I would say that it is not a bad idea if you can get to and stay in Canada while you do TMS treatment . . It's worth a try . . Perhaps, though, you wouldn't have to go to Canada to get TMS . . I know that TMS is offered down here in Virginia, though I have never tried it . . Peace and love to you, friend . . Sam . .
