Only got six hours' sleep last night, even as utterly exhausted as I was, as sore as I was, and annoyed that it somehow got to midnight before we went to bed. Ironically speaking, I am *so* over this damned insomnia pattern where I fall asleep like someone throwing an off switch, but I can never seem to sleep past 6. Anything after 7 is a serious luxury anymore and ultra-rare.

I agree!
I call them, as well as many adults I've encountered out, cell phone zombies. Our playgrounds are mostly barren and devoid of the laughter of children because it's more easily gratifying to stare at a screen than take the initiative to just *play*.
I'm beginning to think they don't stay long anywhere! I still have to find a new psychiatrist. Have an NP in the meantime. Never any fun.
Good luck to you, DonnaJean!
I didn't see this until now. I have had issues with insomnia for a long time. I've always been a night owl so my brain seems to wake up later and then really come alive around midnight. lol I have a hard time waking up in the morning. I have caffeine pills that I put in a small pill box (7 little doors). That way I don't have to get up. My alarm goes off and I just take one of those with the water bottle I keep there and that helps me get awake enough to get out of bed to get the brown liquid machine. Now though, I'm supposed to be cutting back because a new drug I'm on is a stimulant. When I add caffeine I get anxious and my tremor gets crazy. I am not good at listening though. You know what really wakes you up? If you stub your toe trying to go pee. OR, a dog jumping on you with sharp claws. That's my best advice.
OH, one more thing. Don't put coffee grounds down the drain. I was told by a plumber that is really bad. It just in your pipes like wet sand and builds up. Also, for plants - it depends on the plant and some don't like it. It is pretty much neutral ph but has lots of nitrogen. It's best to feed it to the worms.
