I’m a caregiver that has been struggling with burnout and depression but I’m still required to take care of people when I can barely care for myself. My depression and anxiety skyrockets before work and at times throws me into panic mode. Also- is anyone in online support groups for depression and/or burnout or anxiety?

This may sound dumb, but when was the last time you took a vacation? I worked in the field of Substance Abuse and Mental Health for well over 30 years. Burnout was common, however we were given 20 days vacation, holidays, personal days, sick days and were encouraged to take a week every 90 days whether it was a staycation or for travel. Sounded to me that you need time off, but then again, we don’t know each other so it might not be beneficial for you. I hope and pray it is, though! Best Wishes!
