I'm 36 yrs old and I know that may not seem old but ya know
I used to play video games for hours. A lot of the time depending on how it went I would feel ok, tired but ok. I haven't played like that since I was maybe 17 or 18. I've played Nintendo switch but not the older consoles. My nephew loves to play with me mostly because I don't k ow the game or the controls I'm mostly just hitting buttons🙇(mortal Kombat and call of.duty.) How does feeling physically exhausted relate to depression, and do others with depression experience similar fatigue?

You're definitely not alone in feeling exhausted! Physical fatigue is actually one of the most common experiences for people with depression. Many MyDepressionTeam members describe feeling bone-tired, physically drained, or experiencing chronic fatigue even after a full night's rest.

Depression-related fatigue can show up in different ways:
- Feeling physically exhausted even when you sleep well
- Everything feeling harder physically than it used to
- Your body feeling older or more worn down than your age suggests
- Difficulty getting out of bed or maintaining energy throughout the day

One MyDepressionTeam member shared, "Even though I sleep very well, I still feel physically exhausted." Another mentioned how overwhelming the fatigue can be, making it challenging to do activities they once enjoyed.

The good news is that with treatment—whether medication, therapy, or self-care activities like exercise—many members report getting their energy back. Though getting started can be tough (one member called it "overcoming the inertia"), it can make a real difference.

And yes, holiday commercials and stress can definitely add to the exhaustion! You're not alone in counting down to the new year. 😊
