Why Do People Say They Have PTSD When, In Fact, They Have Not Nearly Been Close To Death In An Aggressive Way?

I feel each person's PTSD is unique, not all regards rape or death. Many things can and will cause flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and fear. My PTSD is due to loss, and hurt, fear, trauma in the workplace, which is not violence..

Because in today's society, if u stub your toe, you eventually succumb to PTSD.

PTSD is more than about death. I have PTSD due to being succumbed to incest for 4 years as a child.
