Many community members related to the question about forgetting a lot, sharing that memory issues show up in everyday ways like losing words mid-sentence, forgetting names, misplacing things, or even getting lost in familiar places. Several members pointed to possible causes including bipolar disorder, past substance use, psychiatric medications, and ECT treatments, while others offered helpful strategies like using sticky notes, a medication dispenser robot, and brain games like Sudoku or phone puzzle apps. A recurring theme was that while forgetting can feel embarrassing or scary, members found comfort in knowing they were not alone and in finding practical tools to cope.

Yes, I forget a lot. I don't remember much from my nursing career and the way back when I first got married. And also when I was first diagnosed with psych problems. Which may be from my psych meds or from all my ECT treatments I have had over the years.

Good point. I've heard that. Going to start doing crosswords and sudoku. Any other suggestions?

It happens to me a lot they say if you spend at least 19 miles a day play games that make you think it helps your memory so I do don't know if it's really true or not but I do...πŸ™β€οΈπŸ€ŸπŸ’–
