I usually watch TV or Netflix to take my mind off of it

I watch for the, what I call, the signs of spring. First I celebrate December 22, the day after winter colstice. The technically start getting longer. Then I look for flowers coming to bloom. After that I
listen for the birds. Usually when that happens I know I survived another winter, but it is not official until I hear the frogs.

It is horrible, struggling myself. I buy the daylight bulbs that are much brighter. I have them in every socket in my apartment. Open all blinds. I also take vitamin D3. Kinda made for that.

I had it when I lived in a state with little sunshine. It's depressing. I don't live there any longer. I think there's a Device you can get for it, or medication maybe?
