The way I think of it is this: If you are Bipolar you have highs(mania) and lows(depression). The difference I think between Bipolar depression and depression is the severity. If I have just been manic for weeks say and the high finally ends then comes the depression. But you just experienced such a high - the low seems very low. IDK. I think I also experience depression the same way anybody else does because my highs do not come very often. Say a couple of times per year. I hope this helps.
