I feel you can go anywhere you want to. Theirs government programs that will help you out until you are able to get on your feet. You also may qualify for Social Security benefits. That’s something to think about and look into it.

Check with newspapers that dedicate half a page to list local groups. Check on the computer, googling
"Mental Health Support Group" or whatever you are looking for in your area. There are support groups online, some bipolar support groups on Facebook too. There is even a dating site for bipolar people, or it was there 5 years ago.
When you feel better, consider running a support group yourself. My local hospital gave me a beautiful conference room, equipped with video equipment to use every Wednesday night, before COVID.
Churches were asking me for $60 per night, which was prohibitive.
Once COVID came, we stopped the group, but I asked our local Recovery center if I could run one, and I will be starting in a few months.
There are also Depression and Bipolar Alliance (sic) Support Groups. If you call your local National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI),
they may also have a list of groups.
If you decided to run one, feel free to contact me and I'll tell you what I learned in the training to run support groups for mental illness.
My group also has a Facebook Page, but we haven't met since COVID.
If you know someone likely to understand you, invite them out for coffee. As Alcoholic Anonymous say -- 2 people is a meeting.
Don't allow NO to enter your mind. If you want to attend a support group, you can, even if you have to start it yourself!
BLESSINGS.
