Married Or Having A Partner Who Is Bipolar
I suffer from depression and anxiety. I currently take antidepressants. My husband is bipolar and takes all of the required medication. I am just wondering if anyone else are in a similar relationship. What are some of the challenges you face as a couple? Sorry to hear you only get lows. It must be so hard. My husband said he felt his best during his highs. The only downfall about that is that he was all over the place, spent lots of money, hardly slept and argued with everybody. Once the highs are over comes the lows. He would have no energy, no self esteem and didn't want to leave the couch. Definitely not the same person I once knew. The good news was that after many visits to the doctor and with the right medication, his mood was leveled pretty good. I am grateful for that.

Bipolar is a disease that causes depression and anxiety as well. I currently have to take medication to prevent my highs and darkest lows.

yeah that's pretty tough for sure, I have anxiety and depression and my wife is a Normie, I rely on her for everything and I feel bad about it a lot, she has some medical issues and tells me we are a team and take care of each other.
