@A MyDepressionTeam Member all I can say is I was born with it! That is what I was told anyway, as a baby my Grandfather and oldest brother would have to take me riding around so I would go to sleep. All through the years going to school and getting married everything I couldn’t go to sleep it wasn’t until my late 30’s after my Dad passed and I started seeing a therapist that I was prescribed something for depression, anxiety and sleep that I finally got into a kind of routine and was already a grandmother.

I feel less alone with all of you writing about your insomnia. It really does help a lot.

I can relate to the insomnia. Having things on my mind makes it harder for me to fall asleep. I know medication has helped in the past for me but I don't take anything anymore.

How about listening to a meditation? You can find them for free on YouTube! Praying the rosary also helps me to fall asleep. Sleepytime tea also helps!
