Our power bills have been around the $100 mark, which actually isn't bad considering we (my mom and I) live in a single-wide (1,280 sqft). We use 3 window units, one 12k BTU for the middle of the house, and two 8k BTU units for each end of the house in our bedrooms. It keeps us and the pets comfy. @A MyDepressionTeam Member, it's less being thrifty, which we are that, but the not using heating utensils on our hair is more of a preference. The not using the stove is more not liking to cook š¤£ (uncomfortable space and cats but that's getting better), and we have a broken washer and no dryer. That really isn't a big deal for me because I actually prefer to do my clothes at the laundromat.
It's also just the 2 of us. If it was a family of 4, which I had in my last relationship with his 2 kids, there was a lot more power usage.
No one wants to watch bills keep going up!
