How do you cope with it or deal with it?

What that means for both of us is that we really want to live! But how do we do that without thinking about dying? I don't know. All I know is I DON'T want to think about it! Then there is of course the mental illness that gets in the way. Maybe we should just 'lighten up', accept some of our mental illness, own it, and listening to others who are going through it and talk about it. Oh, then there is always the 'Sun...Sunshine;! Put your face in the Sunshine, take it in as long as you can stand it or maybe some other part of your body. The Sun is Light. The Sun is warm. The Sun makes a day brighter when it hits you. Take care of a plant. Get a singing bird for the beautiful singing each day. On rainy, gloomy, weather days, pick up something to read, watch movies and just relax. Don't think except about what you are reading/watching.. Just sayin....

I can relate @A MyDepressionTeam Member. I've wasted a lot of my life too, especially the last 14 years. I'm 54 and time keeps going by quickly and I do nothing. Depression has made me lose interest in everything I used to enjoy and makes me so tired and fatigued I don't want to do anything. I really don't want to live the rest of my life this way.

I don't want to die...I don't think about it but I am afraid to die. I have also wasted all of my life and I'm 65 yrs and I'm wasting whatever it is I have left. My Depression won't let me go anywhere or do most anything plus now I have physical limitations and can't do alot at one time. I'm afraid I will end up in a Nursing Home, all paralyzed, can't talk or move and won't be able to communicate in any way. Whatever time I have left will go by so fast now and I'm scared I'll be at that point before I know it - with a lifetime of regrets.

I try not to think about it too much. And I try to be grateful that I'm still alive.
