How Do I Find A New Pdoc (psychiatrist) In Order To Get A 2nd Opinion?
The insurance gave me a 14 page list to go through. The task is overwhelming yet I need to meet a new doctor. Suggestions or Feedback?
You might show the list to your primary care doctor and ask for his or her suggestion.
Hello Tra, anybody's suggestion for a new psychiatrist may be one who suits this other person, but it doesn't necessarily mean they will be good for you, I'm sorry and unfortunately the only way to know is by visiting them yourself.
I know this is not only time consuming but exhausting, but hopefully their first consultation may be free, this depends on what they decide to do, so perhaps you could book a 5 minute visit so you can talk with them and if you need to pay then it won't be much. x
I like both these suggestions. I'm sorry I can't think of any other suggestion. I would start calling each of them. I'm a caller. Some of them may not be able to take you that will weed a lot of them out.
Definitely ask your primary care doctor and then check to see if they accept your insurance.
I would suggest to look their backgrounds up on the internet and then pick the ones you would like then start calling them. Sometimes insurance helps you pick one out for you.
