As a teacher for the past 35 years in public school, consequences have been reduced more and more as a result of parental behaviors. The problem isn't the child or their behavior; it's the environment they are raised in. Thugs raise thugs. Bad parenting leads to issues with those they raise. As technology grows, so behavior influences exponentially. Laws for parenting should be enacted.

I agree 100%, most things can be made simple but we are expected to move with the times. I pick and choose what suites my needs and if it becomes over load I wont get involved. I had an example of this last year where I signed up for a NHS portal for my partner it soon became apparent it was going to cause me too much stress, I kept getting emails asking me to sign in to see updates and the information was mis-leading , telling him he has an appointment at the hospital but to wait for a letter as he may not not to attend, my first reaction was, well just send a letter so I cancelled the portal and that is just one example of what I couldnt cope with. Over load nonsense does not help anyone who suffer from anxiety and stress. Sorry for the rant.

I think it is unfortunately. As an example several museums used to have beautiful paintings up with nothing separating them from the public, back when I was a child, they didn't need them. But now there are barricades and barriers to keep people away so they don't scratch them or anything. When I was a child people had common courtesy. Now if a mother watches their child make a mess in a store she will ignore it, or make it the stores fault and noone will do anything. If this isn't the end of civilization we certainly can see it from here.

In my 77 plus years having been brought up in England , and having a reasonable level of education I am having more and more issues with understanding the language these days . . It seems , to me that the English language of todays world is likened to the former ' gobble degook ' that was gotten rid of back in the 80's and 90's . . I cannot easily understand the simplest of instructions these days . . It has been a huge amount of stress for me and everything gets worse when I try to ' decipher ' letters from any organisation . . It really makes me feel that the English I was taught was all in vain . . Is it me ? ? . . Or is it this weird language spoken today disguised as English ? ? . . Help ! !
