Usually start at 50 Mg. The adjusted up by 25-50 Mg till desired effect/action. Used a lot for Bipolar Disorder

@A MyDepressionTeam Member It really depends on the person. And what other drugs you are taking. And how well you handle the side effects. A common dose for an elderly person is less than 100mg while a bipolar person could be much higher. Hope this helps.

It would depend on what the doctor prescribes I would think Marsha. I am on Fluoxetine aka Prozac which works well for me.
