Milwaukee, WI

I have no insurance. I need to be on meds for depression. Anxiety and OCD. I did go to the mental health complex in the past and they helped me temporarily.
Not sure where to turn.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member and anyone else who might find this useful, here is a link to find other ways to get meds while uninsured.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member, what you are thinking about it Medicare. Medicare is 65. If you have low enough income anyone can get medicaid. Medicaid is through the welfare office and medicare is through social security..

I think every state varies. Here in Wyoming we have Peak Wellness center so if you don't have insurance, they have a sliding fee scale to see both therapist and psychiatrist for meds. I would pay over $1000 just for one medication alone and with the sliding fee scale here, I only pay $26 a month for all 4 of my meds.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member if you have a smartphone, checkout these apps:
GoodRX or Singlecare. Check out both. They give discounts on medication. You can also go to the drug manufacturer's website (I am not sure if it the same with depression meds, but you can do this with HIV drugs). Sometimes the manufacturer offers help with free to low cost prescriptions.

Google something called a MAP Program. It's where drug companies send medicines for free to people in need. You can find it online or with any social worker
