Yes, it’s almost like a coping method. If you just become emotionless nothing can hurt you anymore. Just like being numb, no pain, no highs, no lows and are just there.

Yes you are trying to numb your feelings and push it down rather than not dealing with the issue at hand, try to stop doing that because you will just get used to avoiding to show your feelings to protect yourself (know from personal experience) It's hard to deal with issues in this world, but it will only become harder to deal with the issues if you can't open yourself up to let others in and be there for you. Hope this helps

@A MyDepressionTeam Member This is how I feel much of the time, thanks for sharing, I am glad I'm not the only one...Sadly Stare blankly at wall. Daydream, but I am emotionless about that, too. Crazy!

That sounds like the numbness that can go along with Depression when it becomes severe enough.

It definitely is. I have been feeling like this for 4 years. Absolutely no emotions, no happiness no sadness. Cant get scarred or worry. Just numb to it all. It worries me because I have made huge decisions for which I dont care about the consequence. I dont know if I will ever get right.
