I go to group meetings. Hearing about others problems and know they won't judge me. I always feel better afterwards. Being around people keeps me from isolating.
Social support, just having a go-to person that you can express your feelings to. When my depression is at its worst, I sometimes stay over at my parents house. I usually don't share my feelings with them, I just like having the idea knowing that I'm under the same roof with caring loved ones nearby. I have two good friends that check in with me daily, which has also helped. This isn't a cure or something that I rely on, but it's my last resort when my depression is at its worst.
I listen to music of course I love music . I sing in the choir at church. Have to get out of the house or it will get worse !
That helps me too
