My psychiatrist told me last week that I have to get up every morning and no laying in bed, no watching TV for the day either. Even when hard to focus he knows I like to read so reading and journaling are helpful. I have also started walking a mile everyday until I can get my gym membership back. I think it is hard to keep depression from returning goodness knows my pops up a good bit but so far his suggestions seem to be helping. I hope you find a way to stay happy and positive. Hugs.
@A MyDepressionTeam Member I think that @A MyDepressionTeam Member has some excellent words of advice for you. What else - - - being involved with people perhaps at work or in a volunteer setting. Anyplace where you interact with people. Reading books on depression; self help books. Praying for others & yourself.
