Yes. In fact, I have become somewhat obsessed with my writing and often find myself reading and re-reading what I have written in an attempt to understand what I was feeling at the time. Other times, I don't think about it any further and go about my day. Then again, I'm an odd character. I guess that's just how I do things :)

I think it depends. For example, if you write poems regularly and find yourself coming back to the same topic, perhaps there's more to write about it before you can fully let go. I think I know when I'm "done" with the subject of a poem when I start focusing more on editing what I've written or maybe shaping the form a bit more. That's when I know I've said what I can and am more concerned with how I'm "presenting" my output (even if it's for no one's eyes but my own).

Not usually. At least not to the extent I did before getting it out of my system .
