I know on this team there are those with various types of depression and anxiety or bipolar. But I have all of that plus a 22 year old daughter (who is a mother of a 2yr old )that is an addict. I'm having to give her money for this emergency and that. The excuses are usually concerning the baby. The rest of my family want me to stop, since I'm only on disability. But I worry about the baby. There is no alanon group to help that part of my sanity. My family tells me to call dfacs on

I’m so sorry for this heavy load you’re carrying. It’s a Mother’s nightmare to watch her adult children making poor choices. Your granddaughter is truly bless to have you in her life. Even though with depression-Bi-polar you suffer she knows you’re there for her. You said you watch your other grandkids. Which means you’re stronger then give self credit . Calling SOCIAL SERVICES and report it will help. You don’t have to give your name just the situation. I know I had to do the same thing. They’ll have records of calls. As far as taking her away from your daughter the court will decide what will be a best place for your granddaughter. You’re likely a candidate. They like to keep children in the family providing its a safe place. Once again I’m so sorry for your brokenness heart. Been there

I think you should take her child away from her, she can't be a good Mom unless she takes care of herself, first. I know it's hard, but the baby deserves consistent, loving, stable care that her Mom can't give her. The boat is already rocking, despite what you are trying to do, it isn't helping, she could and is using any other money for her drugs, she's got to be, if she needs money all of the time, how do you think she gets her drugs?? Take the baby away and she can get the help she needs, if she wants to, it is all up to her, she's a grown woman.

Jobi has the right idea, talk with a social worker, you don't want to lose your grandchild in the process.

God bless you and let us know how things are going, ok?
