Lost My Will To Live

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

How do you find the spark when you lost the will to live after being an optimist for most of your life even after suffering 1 form of loss after another?

I was asked by one of my therapists to keep a journal specifically to jot down when I noticed myself smiling. If I had a positive feeling, even for a moment I make a note of it. Day, time and what it was that made me smile... It helped a lot.

Be gentle with yourself. The optimism will come back. It make take an unexpected form, but it will come back.

That is the disease of depression talking. It isn’t you. Don’t believe those thoughts because you are valuable and not a burden.
