I think it probably is but I don't know. It sure has helped a couple of my friends.

I couldn't do Adderall, because it made me an irritable overthinking. I have ADHD, and major depressive disorder, so it defeated the purpose.
Now I'm on Ritalin ER 20 mg 1 tablet every morning and Zoloft at night. I have fewer side effects.
