PTSD Not Related To Military
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

After a run in eith a student, I had a hard time calming down. Thank goodness it happened on therapy day. She said it triggered PTSD. For the first time I heard it used in a nonmilitary way. I did have a tramatic childhood. Anyone else experience this?

Try Grow.
It's an organisation for depression and anxiety.
It's like the AA.
It has 12 steps.
But it helps you understand.
All the people who attend have either of them.
And everyone helps each other.

I'm doing the same thing. For over a year now DBT and some other theropy I don't know the letters. I don't care what they are really. I go every week. Some weeks I just don't want to go thru the emotions and I cancel.

I've been diagnosed with PTSD from a very abusive relationship... It's not just for military personnel. God bless them and us all who suffer.
