I was thinking of seeing a psychiatrists and wonder if pills can actually aid my anxiety so I can stop feeling so anxious around people. If meds work how long does a person start to feel better about themselves.

Pregabalin made a huge difference to my anxiety. When I'm well I don't suffer from anxiety at all and I've only been on it for a couple of months.

They can help, but it can be a long drawn out process finding the right one for you. It usually takes a couple of weeks for them to start working.
