What's Been The Most Successful Treatment For Depression And Anxiety?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am attending an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to discuss options for medication to help with my depression, anxiety and disassociation related symptoms. When setting up this appointment they told me to look into the different options myself and see which I believe will be the best option for myself.
So I was wondering what are people's personal opinions on the subject and what was the best form of treatment for you?

I do love DBT! Is it 100% effective? No, it takes time and practice. It is the first that made sense to me though. I have witnessed some that it was able to help right away when I was in the hospital.

Medication, therapy, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Support from family. Reading up to date articles and publications on the subject. Joining support groups like this one.

My mental illness was caused through sexuall abuse as a child and in my first marriage I had two years of therapy at a rape & sexual center that helped me no end but now I have just realised you have to let go of the past because the only one suffering with all this hate is yourself it’s hard but it seems to be working for me I’m off my happy pills now and I don’t feel any different apart from not walking around like a zombie I’m also lucky because I have good understanding family and friends hope this helps you xxx
