My mom took Elavil for depression in the 1960s. It's an old drug that works. I'm not sure about its Half-Life or how long it works for but it worked for her. Antidepressants can be good drugs but remember you are married to them for the rest of your life. They are almost impossible to get off of. If they make you feel normal have an absence of symptoms, then it is worth it. Otherwise I would stick to nutrition as a guide and exercise Social Life nature and all the good things to help. Meditate yoga anything you can find before taking antidepressants.

Meds work differently with each individual. In cases of bpd, it usually takes a mix of drugs to help somone. That is part of the reason why it is vital that you work hard with your medical team to figure out which ones work for you. I have a 2 friends with bpd and it took 22 years for the one to finally get his meds right, just because he didn't communicate with his doctors well, nor often enough.
