trichotillomania (soon to be renamed as hair pulling disorder) is a rare disorder involving stress and anxiety. ... While some do pull their hair to lower anxiety, many also pull out of boredom, sadness, anger, frustration, loneliness, or excitement.
Brian, I used to do it with my facial hair. My go to advice in regards to anxiety always includes some form of mindfulness. I also have a few book recommendations, which If be happy to pass on if you want, but as far as advice for the specific habit of hair pulling, none come to mind at the moment, but I find that addressing the anxiety helps address the specific behaviors associated with it. Of course, if it's a serious problem, mental health professionals should be consulted with. In any case, good luck to your friend! I've said a prayer as well. I hope your week has been going well so far and that all is good with you!
I pull out my hair everyday. But I have noticed that I don't do it as much when I am not stressed and having a good day.
No i dont sorry. But go see a doctor or specialist abt it asap friendπππ
