How Do You Tell A Teacher Or An Adult About A Panic Attack?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

i've been having panic attacks at school and it's hard to explain to a teacher why and how it happens. usually it just happens but if i say real reasons i feel stupid. I don't know how to tell them that it happens a lot and i hate skipping class because of it. It seems like i make myself have them but i can't do that. So please any help is wanted

To me it feels like your house is on fire and you can't escape. You feel like you need to run as fast as you can.
