One thing you can do is take everything you use to cut yourself with, put it in a bag and give it to someone until you can stop. I use to do some things to hurt myself because I thought I was a terrible person and did nothing but cause pin to the people I loved. I am not a terrible person, I have an illness, major depression. I didn't cause it to happen to me, it just showed up. Why should I hurt myself, I didn't do anything wrong? Be nice to yourself, show some care for you, be kind to you and when you have energy do something nice for yo. Yo deserve it because You Matter!!!! Hang in there!!!!

Ask your health provider how long it takes to take effect, maybe they can give you Xanax to get through the bad times while it is effective

Xanax is great. I truly think anxiety is now more of a problem for me than depression.
