I have crippling anxiety I get dissciotiated nearly everyday. I've been on valium lorazepam and klonapin my psych does not like prescribing benzodiazepines due to the addictive potential as I'm a recovering addict.. any suggestions

I've been through the trial and error thing since I was 13yrs old. I hate being a guinea pig, but if in the end it helped I would be willing to keep trying! Instead I just settle for good enough! That's sad but I've tried a lot of these medications and most either had me foggy, drewling or feeling comatose or dangerous enough to really hurt someone. Mainly someone I can't stand beyond anger, rage and hatred! None of these are healthy or good for me or whoever it is that I may have exploded on or in front of! Not to mention embarrassing!😕

As low of a dose as 2.5 mg of Valium is I have only found one doctor willing to prescribe it for me. I usually only need 3-4 per month but Valium have a stigma that I guess other benzo's dont. The muscle relaxing properties are the benefit to me
