Anxiety

How can I stop feeling so anxious? Soon as I start thinking or going to do something, it's like I can hardly breathe! I feel totally exhausted. By doing less. Just want to go to bed and stay there.

I found that learning a relaxation technique can be very helpful. I ran daily classes when I was working, & used it on myself when I went through a v stressful period.! Have a look on You Tube or go to your local library for a self help book. Let me know how you get on .

I have just joined a multi bed session for acupuncture which is when you get treatment in the same room as people but you are screened off. It's loads cheaper than individual sessions but really helps and there is private space for talking if you need.

Hey Deb, Helen's advice is great here, I find taking 10 minutes just for me helps, youtube, find a relaxation music video (preferably with binaural beats) get your breathing back under control, and although not for everybody, for me dunking my face in cold water helps, bradycardia is the response to facial contact with cold water, the human heart rate slows down ten to twenty-five percent :)

ksara I also find acupuncture helps, but it can be costly xxx
