how do I wean myself off these pills

A MyDepressionTeam Member said:

yes, I use it for sleep also. I hope it helps with the depression. But otherwise I would be tossing and turning all night. I didn't know that you needed levels drawn every so often,to make sure you are not taking too little or too much

I have been on medication for over 10 years and during that time I have repeatedly wanted to get off of them. Most of the time it is when I am feeling better and thinking that I don't need them. I have done it on my own and through my physician. First of all, please always do it through your physician if you really feel the need to get off them. Doing them yourself is dangerous and it took me a long time to get back on track. Unless a miracle drug comes up that cures this disease, I believe I will be on them forever.

One needs to speak your Psychiatrist first you need to do it slowly like take a whole tab for a week then half s tab for a week then a quarter tab for a week but you need advice from your doctor .If the tabs is meds are helping why do you want to stop taking them?
